What if the moon’s a spider?
And craters, spiders’ eyes.
High celestial predator
Of terrifying size.
Ballooned into the heavens,
Captured by the view.
The Milky Way her silken lair;
The stars her drops of dew.
Sat upon a massive web
In a lonely endless wait.
Hopeless task among the stars:
To find a spider’s mate.
Hi Alys,
This poem had so much description and I could picture space being a spiders lair.
That’s great to hear, Nuwin! Our imaginations help us to picture so many things. It’s fun to turn those thoughts into images or poems. Alys.
Hi Alys I liked the poem about how a spider could be the moon it would be cool if it was
I think it would be amazing – although a little frightening, too. Great comment, Ian. Alys
Hi Alys I liked your poem about how spiders could be the moon spiders I like spiders 🕷
Hi again, Ian. I’m glad you like spiders. Me, too. Alys 🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️🕷️
Dear Alys,
This poem kind of freaks me out 🤔👀🤔 Other than that, I really liked the way you took some of the stuff spiders and placed them on something in the galaxy.
P.S When I first saw the title, I thought it said spider man.
Kind regards Tirath.
Yes, it would be rather scary to think the moon might be a spider. When I was little, my parents always told me to look for the ‘man in the moon’ then I read that it was actually a ‘rabbit’. I can definitely see rabbit ears when I look at the full moon. Can you? Of course, we all know the moon is actually made of cheese!! 🐇🐇🐰🐰
